Old Spanish Trail

The Old Spanish Trail, used mainly between 1830 and 1850, was built on a network of Native American trading routes. The trail was used to transport horses, goods and travelers between coastal Spanish settlements near Los Angeles and Santa Fe, New Mexico. It is now a National Historic Trail with a local chapter group.
