Racetrack Playa

No one knows for sure how these rocks, some weighing hundreds of pounds, move across this dry lake bed. We do know that when wet, this playa lake bed become slick, and with high winds, it might be possible for these rocks to slide across the lake bed. All we know for certain is that the tracks left by these "moving rocks" is proof that they do move. If you are a photographer or just like to enjoy strange natural wonders, the Racetrack will soon become one of your favorite places.
